Soundtrack was the best thing about this movie. But I loved the cars, very hot. the movie was what it was meant to be, hot cars, hot women and gratuitous violence.

Quentin + Robert usually = garbage. It's time to cut the umbilical cord, Quentin and stop slumming.

This movie gets 2 stars for the 2 actions scenes. It was boring. I get what Tarentino was trying to do, but I didn't like it.

Good exploitation. Kurt Russell was born to deliever a line. The film was at it's worst when the dialogue was the most Tarantino-esque.

The most disapointing thing about this film is that nobody went to see it... their loss. Tarantino really takes the buiscuit in his half of Grindhouse and makes a cracking thriller. The car chase at the end kept me on the edge of my seat and never-before-actress Zoe Bell gave a brilliant performance as a sort of thick girl who likes to just have fun. The thing i really liked about this film was the way Tarantino slowly builds up suspence in long conversations untill a suden thriller scene. Like Pulp Fiction. I admire the stunts its great to see a recent car chage CGI absent. Its amazing to think that no computer effects were made for some (particulary violent) scenes in this film. Wow Tarantino youve blown me away.

Music's good. Some of the actors are good, but this falls way short of Quentin Tarantino's usual fare. I would avoid unless you are a serious fan of the director or Kurt Russell (I know, like who's a Kurt Russell fan?).

The only good thing death proof has is a car to car head on collision that's about it trust me. I'm not really that impressed with Zoey Bell's car stunt at the near end. With that said everything else is pretty much useless, senseless and downright dull conversations by chicks that are not even hot.

Tarantino likes his conversations a little too much - Death Proof could have used more action and less gabbing, even he throws in some interesting tidbits. Still, that car accident scene is pure Grindhouse and the car chase is gold.

Trying a new thing--review while watching... I thought this was pretty good. at the least I was pleasantly surprised. its a slower build but has some great scenes in the beginning. it has the best of what I like from tarantino--arrogant film making, some cool characters and a sound track that gets stuck in your head. plus I know a few people who'd enjoy that challenger. Note that I'm just half way thru at this point... two interesting things--1) they probably wouldn't be drinking "Big Red" soda in texas. 2) in the convenience store, the girl's ring tone is the theme from kill bill. hows that for tarantino arrogance!! so the end... the first half is better than the last. I'm reducing my rating.

this is possibly the worst movie I have seen. don't waste your time on this one. believe it or not, this movie is directed from Quentin Tarantino. what happened to the genius behind 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Reservoir Dogs'?
