A heavy-handed, but endearing travelogue of two forceful personalities that form a strong bond that exists longer than either of their marraiges; Miou-Mious and Huppert are strong leads. Final Grade: B

Isabelle Huppert and Miou Miou are good in this as friends who are mistaken for lesbians because they are so close. They endure abuse from Nazis, from their husbands, and yet they remain close. It won Best Foreign Picture that year and is a must see.
