Persona review

Artistic, brilliant, absorbing, perfection and thought-provoking. A nurse named sister Alma (Bibi Andersson) is tasked to look over Elisabet Volger (Liv Ullmann), a theater artist. Both live together and Alma tells the story of Katarina, her relationships, becoming Elisabet. Who owns the child? Whose persona is real? One of those types of films in which it would make you think and react, much like Cronenberg and Lynch movies. Screenplay was exceptional; (and personally one of the best onscreen) with the following lines: Alma – “I think art plays a role in life.” Volger’s Doctor – “Life seeps in everything. You’re forced to react.” "The hopeless dream of being - not seeming, but being. At every waking moment, alert. The gulf between what you are with others and what you are alon...
