While this revenge/redemption tale isn't as brutal and heart-wrenching as Oldboy, it still packs an emotional punch. The story plays out through masterfully-framed scenes of visual beauty and from multiple perspectives, told in a non-linear format. It's thematically a little open, letting the viewer draw his/her own conclusions.

The third in Chan-wook Park's vengeance trilogy, I didn't enjoy Lade Vengeance as much as Oldboy or Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance. That being said, this is still one wicked film where revenge is sweet and very violent.
