Amanda Bynes Shines

I thought this was an interesting modern interpretation of the classic story of Snow White. Even though it's a bit unrealistic because of college kids still belonging in cliques as if they're still in high school, once one gets past all that, it's kind of fun. I don't what it is about Amanda Bynes that I find charming, but every movie she's in, even though the film is not that great, I still have this silly smile on my face whenever the camera is on her. I guess her earnest energy just radiates and it turns her into a ball of sunshine. Since this is most likely directed to teeanagers, it could have used a bit of a darker edge. The mean tyrant could have been so much more conniving (think "Gossip Girls"). Cliches are everywhere and they could have used them and applied some sort of twist. …
