Charming, pleasant, fun, but not quite as witty as I expected somehow.

Finally a comedy that still holds up 80 years later. Most of the "great" comedies from the 30s and 40s don't hold up very well today. I'm not saying that they're not "funny" but they might make you smile and that's it. Very rarely do I get an audible laugh when watching comedies from that time period. That's where this film comes in. It truly is laugh-out-loud funny. William Powell and Myrna Loy are great as Nick and Nora. I still don't understand the title "The Thin Man," but it doesn't really matter. It's a very funny film.

This intriguing blend of detective thriller and comedy thrives on a slickly-written and acted script, with quick dialogue and wit that offsets the mystery. A true classic of good storytelling and directing.

Is this a pre-code movie? I think it is, because I heard some sex jokes! Oh, how I love pre-code movies! lol.

Another great one with William Powell. His wit and delivery of lines kills me.

It is a decent mystery with a good comedy twist. The movie is dated for many obvious reasons, but I think if you are a fan of the old style of movies, you may end up liking this one. I can't recommend it, because I don't remember much.
