A curiously mild psychological horror movie that undermines the audience by never coming clean; is the child like Damien in the Omen? You bet. Is he like that obnoxious kid from Problem Child? Sort of. Is he seeing dead people like Osment in The Sixth Sense? Who knows, but it would've been nice to know. Final Grade: C+

I don't know about this one. Like a lot of people, I must admit that I expected a film somewhere along the lines of "The Omen." Instead, the film relied on psychology's realism. Even though the story can happen in real life, I thought it would be more fun. The "evil" child proved to be a formidable enemy but I think he could've done more to make everyone's lives miserable. The first hour is really slow and the creepy piano got a bit too repetitive. I usually like implications between pauses and unsaid words but oddly enough, this time around, I didn't appreciate it. Instead, I was mad that it left me hanging, wanting something more. When the end credits started rolling, I couldn't help but think, "That's it? Wow."
