Likeable feel good movie that promotes individuality and tolerance in an amusingly surreal way. I found Stewart's performance a little too compliant and "Aw Gee shucks" for my tastes, but an enjoyably light comic piece.

Josephine Hull is the best. This one has to be seen over and over. Watch it closely, because it's more clever than it looks.

The concept is interesting and original and I liked the way the film walked the line between a realistic drama and a fantasy (leaving the question - is the rabbit real? somewhat open ended.) Jimmy Stewart stretches his acting chops with a genial and heartfelt starring performance.

Ahh Jimmy Stewart - the timeless charmer...though never was he more charming than he was in this movie, and no one could have played the part better (to think Cary Grant would have gotten it!) Hilarious, creatively done (almost every shot of Stewart is a two-shot to include Harvey) and well-acted. That trademark twinkle-in-his-eye when he converses with his pooka is simply priceless.

Harvey is truly a comedy classic. It is the story of a middle-aged man who spends most of his time with a 6-foot-tall invisible rabbit, much to the dismay of his uptight family. While the plot may seem silly and far fetched, the characters are so lovable and believable that you can't help but become wrapped up in the story. It is definitely a screwball comedy from the 1950s, so don't go into it expecting a modern comedy. However, it is refreshing to occasionally watch a movie where humor is derived from character development and a unique plot and not a bunch of swearing and pot smoking. Harvey is absolutely among the best comedies ever made.

I love this film for the simple reason that it shows you how good clean comedy can still be funny. The cast was great together and the story was very well portrayed. This is one that everyone in the family can see and appreciate.

Jimmy Stewart is incredible as the "crazy" man. Performances are good and this movie is actually funny. If you are in the mood for an old style comedy, this is a great movie for you.
