The movie that invented film noir and made Bogart a star. Wonderful dialogue, terrific characterizations by all (especially Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre and Elisha Cook Jr.) and impeccable direction by the great John Huston. This is the stuff that dreams are made of when moviemaking is concerned. Final Grade: A

Another great film noir (mystery) with the performance of a great man (Bogart). The plot was great, but it was a little slow at times, reminding me that it was probably better in the 40's (a little dated at times).
