This lame and politically dubious 80s nonsense has a certain kitsch appeal, mainly because of Bill Paxton's hilarious turn as the obnoxiously fascistic big brother.

Out of all the great John Hughes films, this is the one I hear the least talk about. It's just as funny and relatable as his other teen films, even if the plot is sci-fi heavy. I enjoyed it.

Action: 1.5/3 + Comedy: 1.5/2 + Good vs Evil: 0.5/1 + Love/Sex: 1/1 + Plot: 0.5/1 + Special Effects: 0.5/1 + Music: 1/1 = 6.5/10 or 65%. The target here is 15 year old boys who feel geeks should get revenge on the cool kids and get the girl everybody wants. And why not? Bill Paxton is absolutely disgusting and spite worthy- so much so that he's hilarious. Anthony Michael Hall pulls off yet another allstar geek performance under Hughes' direction. Of course, the 23 year old super model doing whatever 15 year old boys want is slightly disturbing- but again this is a heaven meant for 15 year old boys so reality and consequences are for losers.

Weird Science is about two teenage boys (Anthony Michel Hall and Ilan Mitchell-Smith) who create the perfect woman using their computer Even this is Sci-Fi, which I normally HATE, it was actually pretty good. But, seeing as this was a John Hughes film, and it had Anthony Michael Hall in it, of course it was good!

I love Anthony Michael Hall. He always gives a funny, endearing performance and the geek. Classic 80s teen comedy -- goofy, silly, over-the-top.

The 80s were a fun time for movies. Weird Science is one of the better offerings in that it's funny - in a wacky way - and yet still has a pretty good point to make. That and Kelly LeBrock is drop-dead gorgeous. Good times.

The film is good in a typical goofy 80?s movie way. Kelly LeBrock is amazingly hot, and every teenage boys dream after seeing this movie.
