Scotty, a former San Francisco detective, retired due to vertigo, is hired by an old college chum to investigate the man's wife. Believing her to be possessed by a long-dead relative, Scotty seeks to rescue the woman, with whom he has become obsessed. But his vertigo gets in the way. After a convalescence, he sees a chance for redemption with the woman's doppelganger. Will his vertigo stand in his way once more? -- Arbogast1960
