United States Navy SEAL team rescue mission in the West African country of Nigeria. Lt. A.K. Waters (Bruce Willis) lead a team sent to rescue U.S. citizen Dr. Lena Fiore Kendricks (Monica Bellucci) from the civil war from jungle hospital. Kendricks refuses to leave without the patients. The soundtrack, editing and screenplay were insufficient to keep the whole movie together. Lack of character development was likewise evident. The cinematography and acting were brilliant. Tears of the Sun is an effective war film that shows human compassion despite strict orders.
