Tarzan the 1999 version is a cute animated film with remember-able character's and good songs.

There are some good moments taken out of the origianl Tarzan story, but all of the new additions just don't seem to fit, especially the villain Clayton.

This Disney-ized version of the story of Tarzan shies away from the darker elements of the novel and opts for corny side characters, which, ultimately, detract from what could have been a moving and beautiful animated film. Plus, there are Phil Collins songs - not sure if that is a plus or minus.

Despite a wide range of vocal talents, 'Tarzan' is ultimately too derivative and cliched to be either a truly entertaining or heartwarming Disney animation.

A big jump in the Disney animation category. This is one of the first movies where Disney really expiremented with computer animation. You can see that when they made Tarzan swinging and sliding from one tree to another, landing on a moss covered branch and "tree surfing" from one branch to the next, it is an amazing mix of both 3D and classic 2D animation. After this movie, Disney picked up a lot of steam in the computer animated categories.
