Extremely silly sequel that relies far too much on Richard Pryors comic talent, who has far too little quality material to work with and therefore frankly annoys rather than amuses.

First misstep in the series. Pryor was a strange addition, but not a bad one. He kept the movie afloat during its less interesting moments. Mediocre.

Richard Pryor made this movie. Without him, it wouldn't have been nearly as good.

I had a choice on 2 movies to see...Superman III and Return of the Jedi. Since I loved the first two Superman movies, I thought for sure I would love this. Boy was I wrong. Lois Lane is hardly in the movie and there is no Lex Luthor. The story is really weak and the movie was trying to be more comedic than the first two by bringing on Richard Pryor, but failed miserably. This movie was a huge letdown. So the lesson I learned...never turn down a Star Wars movie.

Superman III seems to think that comedy is more important than action. That's what makes this a weaker installment than the first two films. It has some good points, but overall just feels like its going through the motions.
