From some of the same people that brought you "Scary Movie" can you belive it comes "Superhero Movie," a spoof about all the latest superhero flicks - from batman to the fantastic four. Characters experience tight tights, fights, love, villains, and more in this comedy. This movie did make me laugh if I had to honest, yeah the movie was stupid but in a funny and a good way.

Rick Riker (Drake Bell) acquires a certain power when bitten by a dragonfly. His main nemesis is Lou Landers/Hourglass, who uses instruments and explosives. Effects were horrendous, acting by the main lead just not believable, and soundtrack were not enticing. Humor felt childish and moronic at times to the point you question how this type of film existed. You have animals and insects humping Rick, the dead body burned, a few blasphemous lines, Uncle Albert shooting somebody up close, fart scene, a so called Doctor injecting his own hand and the list of idiotic scenes continue. Cheap laughs, lousy plot,and lack of many elements of a decent spoof or even a movie, Superhero Movie just personally didn’t entertain me.

Earn an extra 1/2 star for actually having a semblance of plot around the lame spoofs, pop-culture references, slapstick, sophomoric humor and getting-paid-for-this cameos. Plus I might have laughed a few times. Awful but not excruciating.

I'd like to start off by giving Craig Mazin props for making this movie by himself and letting this spoof have a story, even though it's a copy of the first Spider Man. While it is funny in most areas, there are still bad jokes. For instance, the tired (even cliche) jokes that appear in almost every film of this sub-genre and (my biggest peeve) the pop culture references. Still, there are some really good moments and most of the other jokes are laugh inducing.

"Superhero Movie" is super bad! Don't waste your time with this rambling, unfunny spoof. A single shot of Wolverine smoking a cigar also earned the movie a SmokeScreeners rating of 1 Butt. www.smokescreeners.org

Ok, yes, I will admit that I only went to go see this movie because I had met, and is a fan of Drake Bell. But I didn't expect it to be a good movie. And it lived up to my expectations. Do not complain about this being a bad movie, though. Date Movie, Epic Movie- they're all the same. People falling, people hitting their heads, potty jokes, sex jokes, pop culture references. Okay, it had maybe one or two funny parts, I'll have to say, but the little kids laughing at the jokes, in the theatre, to me was funnier than the actual movie. So if you're into the whole potty joke thing, then see it. If not, then don't.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES OF PARODY EVER . I HAVE TO ADMIT THAT SUPERHERO MOVIE IS WAY I MEAN WAY BETTER THAN SCARY MOVIE 4 . NOW IM SUPRISED THAT DRAKE BELL TOO THIS ROLE BECAUSE IT MIGHT OF DAMAGE IS CAREER A LITTLE. I THINK THEY COULD OF FOUND SOMEONE A LITTLE BETTER . I JUST GOT BACK FROM THE DOLLAR MOVIES SEEING THIS AND IM STILL LAUGHING .HAHAH I LOVE HOW IT WAS SO RANDOM I GIVE SUPERHERO MOVIE AN A-

A silly fun mockery of the comic book hero movie, that brings back the classic spoof star, Leslie Nielson. The movie pokes fun at mostly just the Spiderman and Xmen films, although there are a few references to other heroes such as the fantastic four. The film sells itself out, with a few pop culture references, but not enough to hate the whole film (unlike other recent spoofs such as the ones made by Friedberg and company)
