A strangely uneven period mystery buddy flick featuring James Garner as Wyatt Earp and Bruce Willis as silent movie star Tom Mix who team up to solve a murder in 1929 Hollywood. The light comical elements never mesh together with the darker half which is surprisingly brutal in parts. Bruce Willis looks bored but James Garner is entertaining as the legendary lawman.
