A musical with some good songs, good signing and some good settings. The story is nothing special although better than some musical's stories. I liked as the enjoyable musical it was trying to be and it succeeded at that. It was not overly special as some people seem to think it is but it is good at what it is trying to do.

I suppose most would say that something is wrong with me, but I really did not like this movie. I don't think this is a 'classic' and it is something that I could not watch again. The music was good and of course well known but that is about the only 'good' thing about this movie.

A classic. Andrews is wonderful. The music is fun. Of course is very dated but is still a great family film.

This is one of my all-time favourites, one of those movies you watch again and again and never get bored with. I think many of the characters in the movie have inspired other characters in various books and movies. Julie Andrews as Mari is adorable, Christopher Plummer is yummy and overall, the songs are unforgettable and overall, it's just perfect!

I remember my parents never showed me musicals, so I never saw it until I was 12. I rewatched it last year and it was enjoyable. The songs are classic. It makes you wish that musicals these days could be a little better. Julie Andrews is classic. RIP director Robert Wise.

Even though I never really cared much for this, I can't find much fault in it, either. The music is great, the setting works wonderfully and the casting is spot on. Still, I wouldn't choose to ever watch this personally.

This is probably the best known and most watched musical. It is on t.v. at least once a year. Everyone knows the songs and can sing along. This movie is based on a real family and stands the test of time. Julie Andrews has one of the best voices of her generation. This movie does a great job of highlighting her talent. There are puppets and Nazis what else does a musical need?

I don't know what it is, but I do not really care for this musical. I like Julie Andrews, but I think it is the fact that I had to watch it almost every year for the musical class. If you want to learn to sing, this is for you.
