Small soldiers is a creepy family film with dark stuff in it, but I actually enjoyed this movie.

Seeing the toys come to life, in a live-action setting, was neat. However, the rest is recycled material.

A poor imitation (where else would they grab the premise?) of Toy Story. Had all star Actors to voice, yet it won't affect the story and overall product. Small Soldiers is very small compared to the genius of TS. Still, it can be nice to view because of a few likable characters. Nothing groundbreaking, not that dull either.

A lot of fun characters and action on the toy side of things, but the human characters and actors leave much to be desired. As a more violent "Toy Story," this movie contains spots of brilliance and spots of frustrating stupidity.

Interesting idea only mildly successful. The whole toys coming to life has been done and making them violent toys coming to life won't make it better. The voice-acting on the toys is pretty good - if only the live action had followed suit.
