Set in a different location and time period than most action comedies, but other than that, it's not really anything special.

There's some charm in the pairing of Wilson and Chan, but the heart of the film is lost among tired slapsticky humor. Jackie Chan is best during the choreographed action scenes and Owen Wilson gets a few solid one-liners in, but the film feels flatter than it should be.

A fun and often funny action/comedy. Owen and Chan have a real sense of camaraderie, in their characters. The far east and wild west styles merged well and provided some good action to balance with the comedy. Re-watchable.

This movie is really good. I saw it back when I didn't know a thing about westerns. When I saw The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly, I realized Shanghai Noon probably borrowed the bathtub scene. Thankfully this movie was so funny and provided hours of entertainment. I rewatched this one several times.
