No! Part of our selection process involves our understanding of movies you have seen, own and want to see. We personally go through each club member’s movie lists to ensure that you a) don’t receive movies you have seen or own and b) receive a movie that you will enjoy and want to own (that you may never have tried before). This dedicated process ensures that you enjoy the exclusive movie club to the fullest extent. When becoming a member of the Movie Discovery Club, we ask that you do 2 things. 1) Create a "movies I own" list, 2) Rate all of the movies that you've seen. Using your movie lists and ratings (and other members’), we create a master “movies not to send list" each month, ensuring that you never receive a movie you have seen or own. The movie selection process is very complex and intense. Each month we evaluate every member’s movie lists to determine what everyone has seen, owned and wants to see. We then look at their rating history as well as other factors. After a careful evaluation, we then reach out to our vendors to determine which films meet members’ requirements for both the highest quality of movies and greatest DVD editions available. There are a lot of great movies that have been given poor DVD treatment and there are a lot of great DVDs that include poor movies. We select only the best combination to deliver to you. Movies can include titles like Lawrence of Arabia, Citizen Kane, The Most Dangerous Game and many other classic and cult films. As you can see, we don’t choose no name, low budget, made-for-TV movies. Only the best are selected that meet the club members’ needs. The Movie Discovery Club selects which films you will receive each month. We believe that this enhances your movie discovery process and allows you to see and own films you may never have tried or were not willing to purchase. The basis for our club is discovering new films. Yes! Unlike online rental places, these movies are yours to keep and to add to your collection. The monthly movies that are shipped to your door are the greatest editions available and contain deep insight into the films to help you enjoy them even more. Brand new, direct from the studios. We never deliver used or opened movies. Our dedication to giving you a great experience starts with giving you only new DVDs. The best version available (not always the newest). As you know, DVD distributors will “double dip,” dishing out the single disc version and then a month later coming out with a Special Edition. We despise this practice and that is why we have researched, watched and selected only the best available versions for you to enjoy and own. We never rent, sell, divulge or give out any of your information to anyone else. All of your personal information is stored for your use only. No! As part of your membership, all monthly club DVDs are shipped free. Your payment is processed on the 15th of every month. You never have to worry about surprise charges or inaccurate billing. We use PayPal as our payment processor and have built technology to allow us to process your payment on the same day and same time of every month. You may cancel at anytime. We do not refund account membership. We only charge sales tax for Missouri residents as we are a Limited Liability Company located in the state of Missouri. You will receive your 1st membership package roughly within 30 days of signing up (in most cases, much faster). You will get your monthly membership package by the end of every month. We try to ship around the 20th every month but some months we are desperately trying to decide on the perfect movie for a given club, which may delay shipment. You can cancel your exclusive movie club membership at any time. Before you cancel please reach out to us as we are always here to assist you. If it is the movie selection, the price, or any other reason, please let us know so that we can improve every aspect of this exclusive club. Yes. General Club questionsThe Movie Discovery Club was started to add an extra level of exclusivity to the already existing FilmCrave website. We saw a demand for more customer service, expert opinions and the ability to deliver great movies each month for a small fee. The current market for Blu-Ray movies is under 10% of all DVD sales.
